Welcome to Tanuki Treasures!
Tanuki Treasures is your whimsical gateway to Japan's hidden past, where folklore meets flea market charm. I curate a delightful collection of vintage, antique, and pre-loved items, each with its own story to tell. Inspired by the playful spirit of the tanuki— a mischievous creature from Japanese folklore known for bringing luck and joy — I invite you to explore my trove of unique finds. Whether you're seeking a nostalgic keepsake, a rare collectible, or a touch of wabi-sabi for your home, Tanuki Treasures offers a magical blend of history and whimsy, delivered straight from Japan to your doorstep.
About Tanuki Treasures
Antiquing—the art of discovering and collecting treasures from the past—has long been one of my favorite pastimes. It probably stems from my deep love of history… and the thrill of the hunt certainly doesn’t hurt!
This passion also supports a greater mission: making high-quality English lessons accessible at a fair price. Tanuki Treasures offers a thoughtfully curated selection of vintage, antique, and pre-loved items from Japan, including handcrafted works by Japanese and Ainu artisans. Every piece in the shop tells a story—whether it’s vintage, antique, handmade, or simply well-loved.
Thank you for visiting! I hope you enjoy exploring the collection. If you have any questions, feel free to email me—I'd be delighted to help.
